Jan S. Wimpfheimer
Jan is the Co-Managing Partner and head of the private equity and investment funds practices at Outside Counsel Solutions. He practices general corporate and transactional law, with a focus on representing sponsors and investors in all types of private investment funds and handling international mergers and acquisitions and other corporate transactions for financial institutions, multi-national businesses, and other clients.
Jan’s private funds work includes advising on all aspects of fund formation for hedge funds and private equity funds, including venture capital, real estate, buyout, and other types of investment vehicles, as well as handling portfolio investments on their behalf.
Jan worked in New York for eight years at leading international law firms (including Debevoise & Plimpton). In 2001, Jan joined the prestigious Israeli firm, Herzog, Fox & Neeman – Israel’s largest law firm, becoming partner in 2006.

Over the last few years, Jan has handled the establishment of:
- several venture capital funds dedicated to investment in Israel
- various private equity funds, including the largest private equity fund dedicated to investment in Israel
- many hedge funds, including the two largest in Israel
- the then largest U.S. secondaries fund
- the first dedicated funds of funds in Israel
- real estate investment funds in both the US and in Israel
- the first Israeli government-sponsored investment fund for minority-owned businesses
- the first fund dedicated to growth equity in Israel
- the first art fund in Israel

- a major Israeli solar energy company
- several Israeli high-tech companies
- a U.S. retail oil company
- an English confectionary business
